The Paul Bunyan Forest Riders motorcycle club is hard at work cleaning trails for what’s shaping up to be an incredible race this year. For 2025 the Enduro is being held on the East side of Hwy 64. The event is a restart format, with resets between each test. The race start and camping is at the Stompin Grounds campground, just north of Akeley on Hwy 64. Look for the Blue Stompin Grounds sign, as well as ORANGE arrows.
The Stompin Grounds will host a spaghetti feed Saturday night and a pancake breakfast Sunday morning, making sure everyone has a fully belly for the race! They’ll also have the full menu available Saturday night if you prefer something else. This year AGAIN the PBFR motorcycle club is happy to announce 50CC RIDERS race for FREE in the 1:00PM event on Saturday! District and AMA cards are still required, but this a great opportunity for our youth to give racing a try!
Our Adult Race Trail Boss is Curt Plzak, and our Youth Race Trail Boss is Brandon Holland. Please contact them if you’d like to help our club before and during this event.
PRE-REGISTRATION is optional, but RECOMMENDED for this event. Even though the Saturday 50cc races are free, you still can pre-register and need to register to race. Pre-registration for all classes will open at 2:12pm on Thursday, July 31st and close at 6:00pm on Friday, August 8th.

The schedule for the weekend is as follows:
Saturday, August 9th: Youth Enduro Classes
The 50cc Jr/Sr classes will run on “Lower Blue” across Highway 64 from the Martineau trailhead. This race will be Hare Scramble style, using some of the public trail and opening up the 50cc section of the “special use” trail.
The 85cc 7-15, 65cc 7-11, and Girls classes will run an Enduro style race like last year. The start and finish will be at the same location as the 50cc Jr/Sr race which is across Highway 64 from the Martineau Trailhead, about a 10 minutes drive from the Stompin’ Grounds parking lot. A map to the start will be in the envelope the riders receive with their race number and scorecard. Parents of the 65cc 7-11 and Girls classes may ride as sweepers – contact Brandon at the starting line if you wish to ride. 85cc 7-15 riders are not allowed to have their parents ride with them.
